Gourmet Garlic and Fresh Produce
WELCOME TO THE PRODUCE SHOP
GARLIC: We have to tell you that we just love Garlic. After years of frustration not finding garlic varieties in the local area to enhance the quality of our Heritage Meat offering, we decided to grow our very own varietals. We love them so much that we are now offering them to the public for the very first time. We have had private tastings with some of the finest palates in the food industry from small batch harvesting over the past two years. From those testings, we have selected the absolute finest garlic that will be available in the summer of 2018. For exciting flavor, health benefits and just awesome taste, nothing beats varietal garlic that is locally grown. We look forward to serving all of our chefs, both in the home and behind the counter next year.
HERITAGE DRIED BEANS: There is so much flavor in dried beans and it is a shame that as a community we are offered so little in the way of variety. Our Senior Biologist is Native American and beans are an intricate part of a healthy omnivore diet from her Nation, that we just had to include them in our garden and share with the community. All of our dried beans have distinct flavors and are excellent compliments to our pork and lamb dishes. The seeds are all organic and many of the varieties are thousands of years old. We look forward to bringing this fabulous commodity to the community in the late fall of each year.
FROM THE GARDEN: Each year we plant a small garden that includes summer and winter squash, tomatoes and peppers. Much of this produce will be available to our clients in the summer to enjoy. Fruits such as White and Yellow Peaches, the original Santa Rosa Plum, Pluots, Apricots and Mulberries are also favorites that we will be sharing throughout the year.
WILD CRAFTED ITEMS: There are few items on the ranch that we classify as wild crafted. These are herbs that naturally grow here and specialty items such as lavender, rosemary, blackberry and Lindenwood. From these we gather for seasoning to enhance our Heritage Meats and also make syrups that add flavor to everything in the kitchen from summer cocktails to delicious desserts and marinades. Look for these exciting items soon.
